Busan Children's University Park: A happy space full of children's laughter

Busan Children's Grand Park opened as Seongjigok Amusement Park in 1971 and has long been a favorite among Busan residents. Set against a backdrop of lush forests and a beautiful reservoir, the park is a great place to relax in nature, and offers a variety of playground equipment, a zoo (currently under renovation), and experiential learning spaces to give children a unique experience.

Lots of nature activities


The first thing you'll notice when you enter the Children's Grand Park is the large grassy area. Here, kids can run around to their hearts' content, fly kites, or just enjoy nature by walking through the forest along the trails that dot the park.

  • Dreamland: An amusement park with a variety of rides, this is the most popular area for kids. You can enjoy a carousel, mini Vikings, trains, and more (rides are not included).
  • Zoo (under renovation): A place to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, the zoo is currently undergoing renovations to improve animal welfare. The reopening date is still undecided, so please check the Busan Facilities Corporation website for more information.
  • Children's Zoo: This is an experience space where children can touch and feed small animals. It is a great opportunity for children to interact with animals and learn about nature.
  • Forest Experiential Learning Center: This is an educational space where you can learn and enjoy nature through various hands-on activities in the forest. Various programs are available, including forest interpretation programs.
  • Seongjigok Suwonji Reservoir: A reservoir with beautiful natural scenery, where you can spend a relaxing time walking along the trails.

Recently, Busan Children's Grand Park had the following information (as of September 2024 - March 2025)


  • Zoo Renovation: As mentioned earlier, the zoo is undergoing renovation to improve facilities and enhance animal welfare. Guests may experience limited access to some facilities during the construction period.
  • Dreamland Ride Inspections and Refurbishments: To provide a safe play environment, rides are regularly inspected and refurbished. Certain rides may be temporarily closed.
  • Forest Experience Learning Center Programs: Various forest experience programs are continuously operated by season and target group. For more information, please visit the Busan Facilities Corporation website.
  • Improvements to park amenities: Improvements are being made to restrooms, benches, and other amenities for the convenience of visitors.

  • Bus: Get off at Children's Grand Park stop
    • Local buses: 54, 63, 81, 133
  • Subway: Get off at Seomyeon Station on Busan Subway Line 1 or Buam Station on Line 2 and transfer to a bus
    • Seomyeon Station: Take Exit 12 and transfer to buses 54, 81 and get off at Children's Grand Park Bus Stop
    • Buam Station: Take Exit 5, transfer to buses 63 and 133, and get off at Children's University Park Bus Stop

Admission to Busan Children's Grand Park itself is free. However, you will have to pay a separate fee to use the rides in the Dreamland. Also, some restaurants in the area may offer discounts for certain cards or discounts at certain times of the day, so be sure to check before you visit.
